Situated a 45 minute drive from Hawke’s Bay airport and 1 hour from Taupo off state highway 5, Mohaka River Farm is the perfect destination for a get away. For 3 km the beautiful Mohaka River winds along the boundary of the 280 acre farm and the river terraces create distinct zones for the various endeavours including the short horn cattle stud on the upper 80 acres and the 10 acre accommodation area on the lower terrace.
The farm can be explored on horse back, by foot, or mountain bike and rafting is an enjoyable way to experience the river. On clear nights the Milky Way is majestic and the surrounding mountain ranges and rural silence add to the safari-like experience.
Come and stay with family or friends in the beautiful park like accommodation, partake in the essential aspects of farm life as the seasons permit or simply relax and enjoy your vacation.
