Our variety of accommodation maintain modern comforts in an accessible yet remote and beautiful setting. From unpowered sites to self-contained cabins, there are options to suit most preferences and budgets. Guests enjoy complimentary wifi, BBQs, untimed hot showers, washing machines and fire pits. Situated 150m from the river, the campground is spacious with generously large sites and room to spread out.

Farm Experiences

Get a firsthand glimpse into farm life focused on sustainability and regenerative agriculture. Opportunities exist for hands-on experiences in self-sufficiency through seasonal farm activities across a variety of interests.

Horse Trekking

There is no better way to explore the farm and take in the stunning surroundings than on horseback. Our herd of 14 horses have lived together on the property for many years and love being ridden. We offer 1, 2 and 3 hour treks for groups of 2 to 10 people and any experience level.

Groups Experience

If you’re a group looking for a memorable getaway together in a beautiful, quiet place then Mohaka River Farm is the venue for you. Our Group Experience package runs February to December and includes fully catered and self-catered options.

Spring Holiday Programme 3rd - 15th October

Book your stay during the school holidays and take advantage of the activities offered at our holiday programme.  Learn about raising chickens and growing your own vegetables, there are classes in soft cheese making using the milk from our hand milked cows, hands on woodwork turning your own spinning top, lino stamping, weaving, card making and more!  There will be opportunities to meet, learn about and interact with the animals especially the horses. The young people at the farm have been furthering their horsemanship and riding skills and look forward to working with your children to give them a horse experience that we hope will open their eyes to the world of animal husbandry. It's easy to enrol, just make your reservation online during the period April 18th - 30th (minimum 2-night stay) and let us know the ages of your children. We will work with you on arrival to plan your itinerary!
